LOST DOG

My daughter just called, this morning, to ask help from Lexington Oaks. She would like everyone to be on the lookout for their lost dog. She is a white and tan female Chihuahua that goes by the name of Princess. Apparently, she got out when they were repairing a sliding glass door and it went unnoticed until later that evening. They've been looking for her ever since, but would like anyone that finds her to call. You can call Natalie Winters on her cell at 924-7112,

.

Thanks, Beth and to anyone that finds her - there's a six year old little girl that is missing her terribly.

In regard to the school/children & cars at our subdivision entrances, maybe we could consider
marking on the road pavement, in yellow, about two hundred or more feet, a line maybe a car length wide that cars "must" park behind & only on one side? And, people are correct when they talk about exercise & safety. What's wrong with walking 200 to 300 feet?

If street lights in our neighborhood need repair for any reason (light out, inspection plates damaged, pole damaged, etc.) you may contact Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative at 813-979-9732 or at the web address noted below. Each light pole has an ID number stenciled on the pole. Give the pole number and the nearest house address so WREC technicians can locate the pole.

Get your flag ready for 09/11/2007

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE forward this Email immediately to everyone in your address book asking them to also forward it. We have a little less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.

If you forward this email  ... each of those people do the same ... you get the idea.

THE PROGRAM:

On  September 11th, 2007, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this sixth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do ..

(1) Forward this email to everyone you know. Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation. God Bless You and God Bless America!

Movie Review:   Balls of Fury

By:  Jay Forry

A  So good,  blind people like it.

B  I'm glad I could hear it.

C  I had one eye open.

D  I'm glad I couldn't see it.

F  Blindness was a blessing.

Just when you thought you'd heard of everything, somebody makes a movie about ping-pong with a martial arts twist called, Balls of Fury.  Following his humiliating defeat at the 1988 Olympic Ping-Pong games, Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler) makes a meager living perfecting his ping-pong night club act.  Late one evening, Randy is approached by FBI agent Ernie Rodriquez (George Lopez) with a special assignment to infiltrate an illegal ping-pong tournament organized by a criminal named Feng (Christopher Walken).  Since Randy's ping-pong playing skills have deteriorated he seeks out the services of an ill-tempered blind ping-pong master named Wong (James Hong) and his sexy niece, Maggie Wong (Maggie Q).  (I thought I could learn how to be a blind ping pong player from Master Wong but the only thing he did was run into things and I can do that on my own.) While Master Wong puts Randy through rigorous training exercises, Maggie sharpens his skills by playing ping-pong with him.  Eventually, Randy is allowed to play in the big ping-pong "sudden death" tournament and finds out they really mean "Sudden Death."  If you enjoy seeing people being kicked in the groin and chopsticks being shoved up noses and everywhere else, this movie is for you.  Except for a couple chuckles it really wasn't funny and the closer it limped to the end the more ridiculous it became.  The script was lame and the plot was just as hollow as the ping-pong balls.  This is another one of those films that if I could have found the door to the theater I would have left.  Because of a great Def Leopard sound track I will move this film up to a D+ rating.

This movie has been given a PG13 rating by the MPAA

Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals.  I rely more on a good story line than special effects.  Visit my website at: blindsidereviews.com
