On the flap of the Mailing Envelope where it says >Unit # they mean your address. The PROXY which includes the AMENDMENTS >needs to have a Yes or No checked after each one as well as your signature >on the back page where it states Signature of Owner or Designated Owner.
>
>By Florida law HOA's must have an Annual Members Meeting during which the >Directors are elected to the Board and most often Associations have >amendments or changes to their documents which need to be voted on by our >Membership. We need residents to complete the Proxy which is both for >changes to our Documents and to establish a Quorum. A Quorum is simply a >certain percentage of residents returning those signed Proxies in order to >proceed with a meeting.
>
>If we do not have a Quorum for the meeting, the meeting must be recessed >and then the HOA must incur the additional costs of having another meeting, >i.e., we again will have to pay the Management Company to oversee the >meeting/election as well as another fee to our HOA Attorney to attend that >meeting.
